About Cal West Rentals

Cal-West Rentals, Inc. is a family-owned and operated, full service equipment rental company. We serve contractors, homeowners, and ranchers all over the North Bay Area. We also have a party division able to serve all the rental needs of the event industry.

We pride ourselves on offering excellent customer service and quality rental equipment at competitive prices. Cal-West Rentals is open 7 days a week and frequently delivers equipment all over Sonoma, Marin, and Napa County.

Cal-West Rentals has been a family owned and operated business in Petaluma, CA since 1958. For the past 30 years, we have been owned and managed by the Doherty family, with second-generation siblings, Bridget and Tyler Doherty, currently managing the business.

Our highly experienced and trained staff excels at superior customer service, great equipment knowledge, and the desire to make every project and event a huge success. Our management team has over 100 years of combined rental experience to help serve you.

Our Team

Tyler Doherty

Tyler has been the equipment sales manager at Cal-West Rentals since 2008. Growing up in the family business, he performed many tasks ranging from washing dishes to delivering tractors. After graduating from UC Davis, Tyler worked in operations and equipment sales at Ditch Witch in Sacramento. Tyler is very proud of how his family's business has continued to grow and expand and strives to keep it successful for many years to come.

Tyler lives in Petaluma and enjoys many outdoor activities including playing rugby, snowmobiling, and hunting. He is a huge sports fan and never misses a 49ers game! Tyler currently serves on the board of directors for the Marin Builders Association and the California Landscape Contractors Association, North Coast chapter.

Greg Camporelli

Greg has worked at Cal-West Rentals since 1983 and currently serves as the Service Manager. His vast mechanical and equipment knowledge has tremendously helped the company grow over the years. Greg dispatches all service calls and handles all major equipment repairs at Cal-West. He can fix just about anything in our yard! Greg resides in Glen Ellen and enjoys vacations in Hawaii and making wine.

Diane Banda

Diane is a local Petaluma native since her birth. She has worked at Cal-West Rentals since 1996, and has been the Office Manager since 2007. Diane is an important customer resource for all accounting questions including billing, credit applications, account payable, and account receivable. Diane lives in Rohnert Park and enjoys reading, a good bottle of red wine, and spending time with her family.

Cal-West Rentals maintains a strong tie to our local community. We support many community organizations, projects, and events. We donate equipment, time, and money to help make Petaluma, Sonoma County, and Marin County wonderful communities.

Bridget Doherty

Bridget has grown up in the equipment and events rental business for the last 20 years. She serves as the President/General manager of Cal-West Rentals and our party and events rental division, Encore Events Rentals. After her father's passing in 2000 and her graduation from University of Southern California, Bridget took over as the General Manager of Cal-West Rentals. She spearheaded the addition of a second party and events store in Healdsburg, CA in 2010 and strives to help turn the company into the Wine Country's premier event rental company.

Bridget is very active in the local Petaluma community as well as the national rental industry. Bridget serves on the board of directors for the American Rental Association, California chapter and is very active on the state and national level. She currently resides in Santa Rosa and enjoys nights out with friends, wine tasting, and sporting events.

Eduardo Ramos

Eduardo has over 10 years of equipment rental experience and knowledge to offer our customers. Eduardo is responsible for our heavy equipment dispatching and provides exceptional service to help our customers get the correct equipment for the job. He enjoys the numerous daily challenges that scheduling deliveries and working with equipment brings. Eduardo lives in Santa Rosa and enjoys working on cars, watching movies, and playing with his dogs.
